Renewable Energy Private Sector Association (REPSA)

 

REPSA was formed as a private association in 2003 in order to represent the interests of private businesses supplying renewable energy products and services in Cambodia.  REPSA meets regularly and has over 10 members who are recognised by the Government and World Bank as an important stakeholder in the REF.

Metrofield Engineering Metrofield Engineering is a private business involved in the promotion, consultation, supply and installation of renewable  energy systems. Past solar projects include the installation of solar power systems for a rural medical project by the French organisation  FONDEM (Fondation Énergies pour le Monde). Metrofield has also just finished a 3 month installation and commissioning of solar power for telecommunications applications all over Cambodia.

Centre Kram Ngoy (CKN) CKN is a non-governmental organisation from France which specialises in the transfer of technology and building human resources, through technical and vocational training. Activities include training in electricity and electronics subjects both in Phnom Penh and using mobile units in the provinces, and encouraging development of female technicians. Current CKN projects are
1) Training Center in Phnom-Penh teaching Electricity, Electronics, Computer (in partnership with PTM, a local Association).
2) Supporting Pilot Rural Electricity projects by ESF-Electriciens sans frontières in Siemreap province.
3) Trial generation project with ESF in Banteay Dek village (350 households, 30 Km from Phnom-Penh).
