Since weight gain is related to fat reserves, you should avoid fats generally. Consuming lean meats will allow you to enjoy protein in meats minus the fats.

• Vegetables do not have fats, but they are rich in vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. You also get powerful substances and anti-oxidants to fight free radicals that cause aging and cancer.

• Green Tea is considered as the healthiest beverage on Earth compared to sugary soft drinks, sodas, alcohols, and coffee.

• Oatmeal is also a great substitute to your heavy morning meal. Generally, you can consume whole grains. Check the label when buying groceries and be careful with ‘wheat’ and ‘whole wheat’ because they are almost synonymous with starch. Starch is bad for your health.

• Fruits are great additions to your meals. They feel heavy in the stomach and very nutritious. If you are losing weight though, you should put a red flag on avocado, which is packed with fats.

Knowing all the foods that make up healthy meals to lose weight should not make you comfortable that you will be slimmer just by eating them. Weight loss can never be successful without exercise or workout. While on a diet, be more active to speed up your weight loss.
